Service Description

Are you interested in meeting regularly for some soulful connection and personal transformation? Join a group of beautiful women (men are welcome too) as we tune into our inner worlds and respond with conscious awareness. Listen intently, internally and externally, we begin each class with a check-in: How is your Body? Heart? and Head? You are welcome to share as much or as little as you like. The check-in is one of the cornerstones of the beautiful community we have developed. It also helps me attune to each member and informs how we proceed. Next is a centring meditation, chant, breathwork, and connecting to our intentions—the perfect foundation to flow into the movement portion of the class. Sensing into the inner realms, the rhythm of the breath, the music. Letting the body lead, we begin to move intuitively to beautiful music. I guide you through a new kind of yoga class. My instructions are merely invitations, offering ways to explore your body. We welcome whatever wants to come—undulating, circling, flowing as we explore where our bodies hold tension, where they feel strong or weak, and where they feel open and supple. This class is often physically challenging. This way of moving can have profound holistic healing effects on even the most challenging issues. The movement can be spicy, fast, slow, or gentle. I adjust the cues according to what is being called forward from the group. Each person is free to move at their own tempo and intensity. I do offer alignment options, but I leave the decision with you as all of my classes are trauma-sensitive. You are always in control. This style teaches mindful embodiment and uses the leading-edge psychology technique of Internal Family Systems and the age-old yoga tradition of Yoga Nidra. Once stretched, strengthened, and safely opened, we settle into a deep, meditative relaxation. Here, the effects of our practice have an opportunity to sink in, and we have a chance to see how our systems liked it. Do any physical, emotional, or mental Parts need anything more? Are there Parts that loved it? Are there Parts of you that would like to approach the practice differently next time? Has something been released or softened? Have you gleaned any new understanding? Given all this, how will you mindfully move out into your day? Returning to our breath, we reanimated our bodies and return to sitting. There is a closing chant, and we dedicate the merit to all Beings. It is so much more than just a yoga class.
