Service Description

Reiki, pronounced Ray-Key, means Universal (Rei) Life Energy (Ki) which naturally runs through all things. I understand Reiki to be the same as Shiva/Shakti energy, divine consciousness, Buddha Nature, Christ Consciousness, Self energy. Reiki practitioners channel this energy, pulling it through their bodies and sending it to their clients. It is very gentle and non-invasive. Reiki is a powerful reset for anxiety, stress and overwhelm. It can also assist in the maintenance of a healthy body and mind. It supports the balance and flow of the energies in the body and the spirit.

All you need to do is lay down, open and receive. Clients report feeling heat or coolness from my hands. They often drift in and out of sleep. Some experience physical and/or emotional releases. Almost everyone feels deeply relaxed by the end. I begin at your head. At times I hover above the body and other times utilize light or firm touch. Touch can extremely grounding and nourishing. We seem to be starved for touch that has no strings attached. Giving a Reiki treatment is very intuitive. I go where the energy of Reiki and the energetic layers of your body, heart, mind and spirit take me.

The effects of a Reiki treatment are unique to each individual. My teacher would say "Expect nothing, anticipate anything." Sometimes a Reiki treatment is simply soothing and relaxing. Other times it is a profoundly spiritual experience that manifests in many magical ways such as connections with loved ones passed, short term and long term release of pain, an unexpected knowing arises. Something powerful happens, you can feel it and I can feel it. The most conservative evaluation of Reiki would suggest it is deeply relaxing to the body/mind. Science has shown that a relaxed body/mind has miraculous healing powers. That’s great but I also believe there is much more going on in a session. Things that we can't yet explain. It is wonderfully mystical. 

Reiki treatments can be just as effective when done over a distance. In other words if you are unable to come to me I can treat you where ever you are in the world from where ever I am. I have had many very powerful experiences with in person and distance Reiki. I hope this has intrigued you and you will come and give it a try.
